We're Katie and Monty — the husband-and-wife team behind River Severn Canoes.
Between us, we've spent more than 40 years working in the adventure industry, but these days you'll mostly find us right here on the River Severn.
Monty
Outdoor Education teacher, experienced paddler and the man most likely to tell you he has the best office in the world.
Katie
20 years in adventure travel and the person keeping the whole show on the water.
And yes, she's the boss.
Our little corner
of Shropshire.
River Severn Canoes is a small, independent family business based in Alveley, just outside Bridgnorth.
We started the business in 2012, bringing together Monty's life on the water and Katie's background in adventure travel.
We live here. We work here. And we spend a frankly unreasonable amount of time on this river.
It's our little corner of Shropshire — and we rather like sharing it.

Although Katie and Monty are the faces you'll see most often, River Severn Canoes has always been a family affair.
Occasionally even our daughter gets involved — usually with the extremely important responsibility of handing out sweets.
We take that role very seriously.
